Missouri Senate committee debates whether to provide livestream video of proceedings

Jason Hancock of the Missouri Independent reports that a committee of the Missouri Senate discussed a proposal to start livestreaming video of its proceedings, since the Senate is currently one of only two legislative chambers in the U.S. that doesn’t provide livestream video, and supporters argue it would increase transparency for the public.
