Missourians with disabilities ask lawmakers not to cut funds for their services
KY3 reports that thousands of Missourians with disabilities and their families gathered at the Missouri State Capitol to urge lawmakers not to approve Gov. Mike Kehoe’s proposed disability services cuts, arguing the reductions would jeopardize essential in-home support and individuals’ independence. Advocates shared personal stories about how the cuts could negatively affect daily life and urged legislators to protect these services as the state budget is negotiated.
